What's on your mind today?
Hey, folks! This board is brand new, so come on in and express yourself! Got something you want to say? This is the place.
What's on my mind today? My best furry friend, who had been by my side for 12 years, had to leave us Monday. My dog, Keisha, was the best dog in the world. She was a shelter dog, and I picked her out of the lineup when she was just a little, fuzzy pup. She grew into a beautiful, big mutt with such a sweet disposition. She saw me through many difficult times and was always the perfect companion. I know she is being rewarded now and being spoiled rotten by my grandmother; who is, no doubt, giving her lots of people food. That's what Heaven must be for dogs - big grassy green fields and people food. As sad as it was to let her go, I wouldn't trade anything for the 12 years of joy she brought me. If you are thinking about a pet, I highly recommend rescuing a shelter dog!
We still have our other little rescued dog, a Pekingnese named "Gizmo" who looks like a cross between David Letterman and Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks. She used to just look like Natalie, but then she lost a front tooth, so not there's some Letterman in there. We have no idea how she lost it. We just came home from work one day and she grinned at me with a gap right in the front of her grill. Have you ever seen a redneck Peke? Let's see if I can find a picture...
