And we're off! Lots of former contestants in the crowd. Top three singing "Ain't no Stopping us Now." Sounds nice. D'Arch solos first, followed by D'Cook, then of course, Syesha. Her hair looks nice, and they all sound great as they head out to the crowd to sing. And four minutes into the program, time for a commercial break! If dialidol is correct again, this is the end of the road for Syesha. They've got Cook in the lead. And here's an Idol commercial with the Idols apparently visualizing their dreams. Four minutes of show, four minutes of commercials.

Ryan says this the closest race ever with 56 million votes last night. Recap from last night. The judges picked great songs for the Idols. They all shined in these songs (even with D'Arch's flubbed lines). There's Cook rocking out to Flack. Now we have to relive Round 2 - eich. They all suffered here, but Simon gave us a great line "like a chihuahua trying to be a tiger." And now the third round, which was especially cruel to Syesha. Before we get to the voting, Fantasia will sing with her flaming cherry red hair! She brought her attitude and big girl voice tonight! Good grief even Fantasia is taller than Ryan. And time for an extra long Fox commercial break.

We're back and ready to bring one out. Archuleta is coming out first. First we have to see what happened when he went back home to Murray Utah. D'Arch is moved to tears over the number of people who came out to see him. There's Mayor Mustache! Very moving for David. He's embarrassed over the crying. OK, here comes the dramatic music as Ryan recaps the judges' reactions. Ryan tries to scare the crap out of the crowd by saying it's a close race and this could be the end for David, so we have to relive his journey now. We'll be here all night at this rate. And it's time for another commercial break.

And we'll have to wait to find out what D'Arch's fate is. Now we see what happened when Syesha returned home to Sarasota. Tears from Syesha, too. Family reunion - there's mom! Sweet. Dad admits he's had problems with drugs and alcohol, and this gives him a reason to stay clean. WOW - the entire town must have been there! More tears...big tears in the limo. Happy tears. She says "This is my dream, and I'm living it." Back to the theater and the dramatic music as Ryan recaps the judges comments from last night. This hair style WORKS on Syesha! She looks lovely. Now we go back and revisit her Idol journey. Commercial break time - we'll have to wait to discover her fate, too.

David Cook's turn. He explains that he really didn't show up to audition for himself, he went to support his little brother, but it was David who got the golden ticket. Little brother joins him onstage. Time to go back to his hometown near Kansas City. HOLY CRAP what a huge crowd! Girls are cryign like a Beatle hit town. They are going to his high school to surprise his music teacher who inspired him. He brought her flowers and kissed her cheek. Very sweet. Will we get tears from Cook - YES! Tears are flowing. Throwing out a pitch at a Royals game, says it's "amazing." Dramatic music time. Ryan recaps judges...you know the drill. Now we revisit his video Idol journey. Wow, showing a lot of emotional moments for David. Commercial break.

Syesha is out! She just wants to say "thank you." Very graceful exit, singing beautifully. Arch looks like he's about to pass out! She sings "If I Ain't Got You." BRAVO!

It did seem like even more long commercials tonight. Fox is cashing in on the ratings monster!

LOL! This is the only show that makes money for Fox. American Idol provides more than half of Fox TV's budget!
